To women who feel superior,
I’m a woman and I don’t consider myself a better part of the society just because I fall under the female creed.
To women demanding equality,

I’m a woman and I believe in complete equality. Crimes against women or special rights for women both seem unjust to me.
To women who abuse men of all the wrong doings,
I’m a woman and I take offense when a man is generalized as one of the jerks or creeps. I have men who are my friends and family and they are not meant to be abused.
To all the women I’ve come across who tend to misunderstand feminism,
I’m an individual who finds no future in the blame game. Thank the men who have stood for you. Move ahead of those who have ridiculed. Stop criticizing the opposite sex. Stop brooding over something that you are by birth and not by actions.
Most importantly,
Stop GENERALIZING.
P.S.  A fight for equal rights and hatred for the opposite sex does not come hand in hand.
As a woman, I have some amazing men in my life and I’m sure you have at least one to  suffice the reason behind this post.
Feminism demands equal respect from each individual, be it a man or a woman.

But then only if you abide by the meaning.

  18. Thank you. A powerful reminder of what feminism actually is, versus what it can be made to be. I find it interesting when I hear a woman say they are not a feminist. I heard an interview with Megyn Kelly on NPR just yesterday, and she said she was not a feminist, and a puzzled look came across my face. This is a woman who works at a major news network, is squarely in the public eye, recently wrote a book about her “Year of Trump”, and has 3 young children all birthed while she was climbing the news network ladder. Her comment really took me back. So much of her adult life is based upon feminism – defined as “to define, establish, and achieve political, economic, personal, and social rights for women.” Without women like Gwen Ifill, and many others, who came before her, Megyn would not have the luxury of competing for a top position in her field. It is almost like feminism has become a dirty word. To keep in check, look at countries like Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, and others that intentionally have laws that prevent women from speaking up, walking alone, etc. Let’s not do ourselves an injustice by backing away from feminism and forsaking all the women that have paved the way before us.

    1. Let’s just stand for equality as human beings, no matter what. I totally agree with you and thank you very much for sharing words of wisdom. Every man and woman must be a feminist cause the world needs feminism. I’m grateful to know some men who stand by my words. I wish every human being understands the difference between feminism and feminazi. I as an individual stand for deprived women and stand against any woman misusing a need.
Glad to have crossed paths with you. Stay blessed. 🙂

  21. I have always loved the tee shirt that reads “Feminism: The Radical Notion that Women are People.” We often forget the simplicity of feminism and that there are indeed many fine, feminist men– I happen to be married to one and have others in my life. With the crazy ways the world is turning, it is more and more important that women AND men who think that women and girls are indeed people who deserve to follow their dreams, make a fair living, make active choices about partners and children, have their personal autonomy and bodily integrity respected let go of the fears and myths surrounding the word and proudly claim the title “feminist.”

    1. Hey! That’s a beautiful line and all that I want to convey. I’m happy to know that you agree to my perspective and that you share your life with a man who is a feminist. My best regards to him for choosing to be one despite all the myths.
We need people to believe that feminism is all about equality in every terms. All men and women must unite to embrace the title “feminist” and make this world a better place. And as individuals, it’s our duty to spread the word. 🙂
Thank you for your words. Glad to have crossed paths. Stay blessed. 🙂

  22. Yasssss. This post needs to be spread like wildfire.

  32. Word. 👏

    1. Thank you. Glad that you agree. 🙂

  33. The truth is that even in a conjugal relationship the woman is not an inferior partner, and neither is the man superior. That, the man, as far as the scripture is concerned, is the head is a truism. Is the creation of the woman, after man, an afterthought? Certainly not! She complements humanity. The creation of the woman perfects the worship of Jehovah. Another truth is that, it’s a man’s world, whether we like it or not. When men refuse to show responsibility God chooses a woman to do His work. Sweta, this post is so unbiased. You have spoken the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I love this sweet, Sweta lady. Amen.

    1. Thank you so much. I always get to learn a little more from you. I’m glad you appreciate my humble thoughts and stand by them. Thank you for sharing your words and for being kind. Stay blessed 🙂

      1. You’re very welcome and thank you.

  34. Equality is the golden rule and transcends religion. As a man, I would like to think of myself as a feminist, though the word humanist probably covers it better. Nice post, thanks!

    1. This is quite a statement from a man who understands the need to be equal, no matter what. Call it humanist , the motive still remains the same and I’m glad you agree. Thanks for sharing your words. Stay blessed. 🙂

    1. I’m glad you do. Thank you so much for your generous words of appreciation. 🙂

  46. Think your last line sums it up well…there should be respect for each individual.

    1. Yes indeed. Thank you for reading. 🙂

  47. Yes, powerful words! And remember these! You’re not married, yet. But it seems male bashing happens to many after he doesn’t meet your expectations – but unless you BOTH share your expectations, you’ll both be disappointed. So I do think that is the root of many “feminists.” I know because I was there! I ended up divorcing my husband after 13 years because all the women in my life, my mom, sisters and Co-workers were bashing their men. I fell into the trap, did it, “fell out of love” divorced the best man for me-but then God healed us and we remarried! My blog started out as a marriage blog: https://thetumblelees.me/2011/07/18/so-why-share-about-our-marriage/

    1. Oh thank you so much for sharing with us a story of improved relationship against all odds. Thank you for the comment. I’ll surely read your blog to get inspired. Stay blessed. 🙂

  49. Very Nice post and blog Ms. Ojha! Thank you for dropping by and following mine! All the best to you! You might have to explain the razor blade in a glass of blood beside the rose though.. 🙂

    1. Thank you for dropping by. Glad to connect. All the very best to you as well. As for the explanation, the razor blade and the glass of blood represents anxieties, mood swings and pain while the rose symbolizes love and happiness. Both of these elements together describe life as the roller coaster ride in a jist.
Also, I must like to add you are one of the very few people who has noticed it too.
      Stay blessed. 🙂

      1. And you Ms. Ojha …stay blessed. It is a pleasure to meet you.

  50. Today, I came across your blog and it is amazing.
